Booking and arrival

How soon can you come?

Usually within three to six working days. Short jobs sometimes fit sooner, because we stack them in one neighbourhood. Plan members get first pick of the windows.

What does a two-hour window mean?

Your tech arrives between the start and end of the window you confirmed. You get a text the evening before with their name, and another when they are about 30 minutes away. If we miss the window by more than 30 minutes, the first hour is on us.

Do I need to be home?

Someone over 18 needs to let us in and agree the job before we start. After that, for longer jobs, you can leave us to it and check the work at the end, or we send photos.

Can I change or cancel?

Free up to 24 hours before the window. Inside 24 hours we charge a $49 late-cancellation fee, because that window can rarely be filled again.

Prices and payment

How do you price a job?

By the hour, at $98, with a one-hour minimum per visit and 15-minute steps after that. Our price guide lists typical times for each task, so you can see the likely range before you book.

Why a range and not a fixed price?

Because walls hide things. A TV mount on wood studs is quick; the same mount on old plaster with a steel stud takes longer. If the job is going over the top of the range, we stop and tell you before carrying on.

Do you charge for materials?

At cost, with the receipt attached to your invoice. No mark-up. If you would rather buy the parts yourself, we install yours.

How do I pay?

After the job and your walk-through. We email the invoice; pay by debit or credit card on the spot, or by Interac e-Transfer within seven days.

Is there a trip charge?

Not inside Calgary city limits. Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane and Okotoks add $30 per visit.

What we do and don’t do

Do you do electrical or plumbing?

No. Anything that needs a licensed electrician, plumber or gas fitter we refer out: new outlets and circuits, light fixtures, panels, moving pipes, water heaters and gas lines. We do swap handles, locks, shower heads and battery smoke alarms, which don’t need a licence.

Will you go on my roof?

No. We clean gutters from a ladder on houses up to two storeys and stay off roofs. For shingles or anything higher, we can suggest a roofer.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry commercial general liability insurance and can email a certificate to you, your property manager or your condo board before the visit.

Do you guarantee the work?

If something we fixed fails within 90 days because of how we did it, we come back and redo it at no charge. That covers our workmanship, not the parts’ maker or new damage.

Maintenance plans

What if I join halfway through the year?

Your first visit is whichever season is next. The plan year starts from that visit.

Can I use leftover visit time?

Yes. When the checklist is done early, the rest of the visit goes to your own list at no extra charge.

How do I cancel a plan?

Email or call before the next visit and we refund that visit. Visits already done are not refunded.

Landlords and property managers

Can you deal with my tenants directly?

Yes, with your written permission. We confirm the window with the tenant and send you the report and invoice.

Do you do rental turnovers on short notice?

Rental plan members are booked first. Otherwise send the move-out date as early as you can; the last days of the month fill quickly.

Ready when you are.

Send the list, pick a window, and we confirm the rest.
