Accessibility statement

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast; the gold accent is only used for text in a darker shade that passes.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative lines and the dentists’ monograms are hidden from screen readers.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Fee tables have captions and row and column headers, so screen readers read each fee with its treatment.
• The insurance questions open and close with a keyboard and are announced as expandable.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The one animation, a line drawn under the home page heading, stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0120, or email hello@harbourviewdental.example, and we will take your request with you.

At the studio

The studio is on the third floor with an elevator from street level. Tell us when you call if you would like a longer appointment, a quieter time of day, or someone to meet you at the door.

Known limitations

The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell us.
