Questions
Before the van pulls up
Booking, safety, what to have ready, paying, and the few things Roamwell does not do.
Booking
How far ahead should I book?
Weekday evenings and Saturdays fill first, often a week or two out. Weekday mornings and afternoons usually have openings within a few days.
What hours do you visit?
Home visits run Monday to Saturday and the last session ends by 9 pm, so the latest 90-minute start is 7:30 pm. Workplace days run on weekdays between 8 am and 6 pm.
Can two people in the same home book?
Yes. Ask for two sessions back to back on one request. The table stays up, the linens are changed between you, and the outer-zone fee is charged once.
Safety and comfort
Who comes to my home?
Maren, the massage therapist who runs Roamwell. She comes alone in the Roamwell van and texts when she is ten minutes away.
What if I have a new or sharp injury?
Please see a physician or a physiotherapist first. Maren does not take bookings for a new or sharp injury and will ask you to have it looked at before a visit.
Do I need to undress?
Only to the level you are comfortable with. You are under a sheet the whole time and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Many people keep shorts or underwear on.
Can someone else be home?
Of course. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian at home for the whole visit.
What to have ready
What do I need to prepare?
A clear patch of floor about 2.5 by 2 metres, a warm room, and pets settled behind a closed door. That is all.
Do I supply sheets or towels?
No. Table, linens, oil, bolsters and the speaker all come in the van. A glass of water nearby for afterwards is nice to have.
What about parking and getting in?
Keep a driveway, visitor stall or free street spot in mind, and have the buzzer code and unit number ready for the ten-minute text.
Payment and receipts
How do I pay?
At the end of the session, by debit or credit card tap, e-transfer or exact cash. Workplace days are invoiced to the company afterwards.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes, an itemized receipt by email the same day, with the date, session length and price. Roamwell does not bill anyone else directly.
What if I need to cancel?
Free with more than 24 hours' notice, half the price under 24 hours, and the full price if no one is home. The details are on the rates page.
