Which key do you have?
Prices include the key or fob, cutting, programming and the call-out by day. Add $50 at night. The exact price depends on make and year, so we confirm it on the phone.
Transponder key
A plain metal key with a chip in the plastic head. The car will not start unless it reads the chip. Common on cars up to about 2012.

Remote-head key
The key and the lock buttons in one piece. We cut the blade and program both the chip and the remote.

Flip key fob
The blade folds into the fob. Often a cracked case or a worn button: we can reshell your fob for $45 if the electronics still work.

Push-to-start proximity key. We program a new one to the car, plus an emergency blade cut to your door lock.

Lost all keys
No key to copy is still a normal job.
When every key is gone, we read the code from the door lock, cut a key to it, and program it as a new key. Old keys are erased from the car, so the lost ones no longer start it.
Lost-all-keys adds $80–$150 to the prices above, depending on the car. We quote the total before we come.
Before you call
Have these ready and the quote is exact.
- Make, model and year. The trim matters for some models.
- The VIN, from the windshield corner or the registration.
- Photo ID that matches the registration or insurance.
- Where the car is parked, and whether it is in a locked garage.
When we send you to the dealer
Some luxury brands lock key programming to their dealers. If your car is one of them we tell you on the first call, before any call-out. We also send you to the dealer for a car still under a warranty that needs dealer keys to stay valid.
