Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Body text is at least 18 pixels, with generous line spacing, and the page still works when you zoom to 200%.
• The floor plan drawing has a text description, and its labels are also explained in the words beside it.
• The table of extras uses proper column headings.
• Form fields give examples in words, not only in placeholder text.
