Fees
Fees, in plain numbers.
All fees are per session, in Canadian dollars. The 15-minute phone consult is always free.

Online costs the same as a session in the house.
Couples pay one fee per session, not one each.
Parent check-ins in teen sessions are part of the session fee.

If the full fee is out of reach
Every month we set aside a few session spots at a reduced fee for people on a low income, students, and anyone between jobs. Ask about it on your consult call.
We don't ask for paperwork. We ask you to pick the fee that's honest for your situation. When the month's spots are taken, we'll offer you the next one that opens.
Cancellations

Late or missed sessions
With less notice, or if you don't come, the full session fee is charged, because your therapist held that hour for you.
Once a year, on us
We waive one late cancellation a year, no questions asked. Life happens.
Snow days
If Ottawa schools close for the weather, we move your session online or to another day at no charge.
Receipts and payment
Insurance receipts and paying.
Receipts for your insurance
After each session we email a receipt with the date, the length and your therapist's details, ready for extended health plans that cover the service.
Plans differ a lot, so please check with yours what it covers and how much. We can't promise coverage, and we don't bill insurers directly.
Paying
Pay at the end of each session by debit, credit card or Interac e-Transfer. For online sessions we send a payment link afterwards.
Questions about a fee or a receipt go to the office, not your therapist, so your session time stays yours.
