Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach us, however they browse.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, including on the dark panels.
- Buttons, links and form choices are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers. Therapists are shown by their initials, not photos.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
- The fee table is a real table, with column and row headings a screen reader can announce.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- Sizes are set in relative units, so the text grows with your browser's font settings.
- The one small movement on the page, sections sliding up as you scroll, stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
Reaching us without the form
You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0138, or email hello@stillwatercounselling.example, and we will take your request with you.
Our building
Two of our four counselling rooms are on the ground floor. If stairs are hard for you, tell us when you get in touch and we will book you into one of them.
Known limitations
The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell us.
