A mock road test shows you what the real one feels like. A refresher close to the day settles the nerves. You book the road test yourself; we get you ready for it.
Both are 60 minutes, start from your pick-up spot and are in our automatic cars.

Your instructor plays examiner for about 40 minutes on test-style routes around Langley: the same kinds of instructions, no hints, no help unless safety needs it. Then 20 minutes parked, going through what an examiner would have written down.
Best two to three weeks before your test, so there is time to fix what comes up.

Your weakest manoeuvre twice over, a calm run on busy roads, and one last look at parking. No new skills, just the ones you already have, warmed up.
Book it for the day before your test, or the morning of.
Examiners are not looking for perfect. They are looking for safe, steady and aware.
Shoulder checks before every lane change and pull-out, mirrors often, and scanning intersections before you reach them.
A safe gap behind the car ahead, room around parked cars and cyclists, and stopping where you can see the tires of the car in front.
Keeping to the limit, slowing for school and playground zones, and not crawling either: too slow can count against you.
Four-way stops, uncontrolled intersections, crosswalks and left turns across traffic, without hesitating or forcing it.
Smooth starts and full stops at the line, both hands where they should be, and staying centred in your lane.
Reverse-stall, parallel or hill parking, done slowly, with checks all around before and during the move.
