Questions before you book

Yes. You need a valid learner's licence (your L) or a higher stage before your first lesson, and you bring it to every lesson. We look at it in the car before we set off.

Yes. Tell us when you book. Many people with overseas licences only need a few lessons on local rules, like four-way stops and school zones, before their test.

60 minutes of driving, counted from when you get in the car. The first five minutes are usually spent setting up the seat and mirrors and agreeing on the plan.

For the lesson itself it's just you and the instructor. A parent is welcome to join for a few minutes at the curb at the end to hear what to practise between lessons.

We drive in rain, because you will have to. If there is ice or heavy snow, we move the lesson at no charge.

Send the request form or call. We call or text back within one working day with a time. A lesson is booked once we have both agreed on that time.

Move or cancel a lesson with 24 hours' notice by phone or text and there is no charge. With less notice we charge half the lesson price, and a missed lesson is charged in full. The test-day car needs 48 hours' notice.

E-transfer, debit or credit card. A single lesson is paid at the lesson, a package at the first lesson. All prices include GST.

The 5-lesson package is valid for 6 months and the 10-lesson package for 12 months from the first lesson.
