How it works

From first coffee to the last vase home

Most couples book us six to twelve months ahead. Here is every step, and who does what, so nothing about the flowers is a surprise on the day.

IThe timeline

Six steps, one design

  1. As early as you like

    Consultation

Forty-five minutes at the studio or by video. Bring photos, colours and a guest count. There's no charge.

  2. Within a week

    Written proposal

Every piece itemised, with photos of the varieties, delivery and setup. Change it as often as you need.

  3. When you're ready

    Deposit holds the date

A 30% deposit books your date. Until then, the date stays open to other couples.

  4. Six weeks out

    Final details

Final counts, table plan and timings. We place the flower order with growers and the balance is due.

  5. The day

    Delivery and setup

Both of us arrive hours ahead. Personal flowers first, then the ceremony, then the reception room.

  6. That night or next morning

    Teardown

We collect vases, stands and the arch, and leave the room as we found it. Guests can take flowers home.

IIWho you'll work with

Two people, start to finish

You'll talk to the same two people from the consultation to the teardown. No hand-offs, no new faces on the day.

Mira

Lead designer

Writes every proposal, orders from BC growers each week and builds the bouquets herself.

Theo

Installs and logistics

Does the site visits, arches and hanging work, and drives the van on the day.

IIIQuestions

Things couples ask us

Do you do everyday or same-day flowers?

No. We only design for booked weddings and events, so there's no walk-in counter and no same-day delivery.

Can you supply tents, chairs or linens?

We don't rent anything but our own vases and stands. We're happy to recommend Okanagan rental companies we work alongside.

How far do you travel?

From Vernon in the north to Penticton and Naramata in the south. Further afield is possible with a travel quote.

Can we change the proposal after paying the deposit?

Yes, right up to final details six weeks out. After that, counts can go up but not down, because the flowers are already ordered.

Do you use floral foam?

We build in water, chicken wire and moss wherever we can. A few hanging pieces still need it, and we'll tell you which ones.
