Eye exams
An eye exam in our own exam room, $140.
Our optometrist sees patients 12 and older on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. If you already have a recent prescription from another clinic, you don't need a new exam to order glasses from us.
Who you'll see
Three people, one small shop.
Anika, optometrist Eye exams on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Marisol, optician Frame styling, lens fittings and adjustments.
Theo, optician Fittings, repairs and orders from the makers.
What an exam covers
About 40 minutes, in six parts.
A conversation first
How you use your eyes through the day: work, screens, driving, reading, and what you think of the glasses you wear now.
Vision and refraction
Reading the chart, then comparing lens after lens ("one or two?") to work out your prescription.
Eye pressure
A quick, routine pressure check.
A look inside the eye
The front and back of the eye with a lamp and lenses. If drops are used to widen your pupils, close-up vision can stay blurry for a few hours, so bring sunglasses and consider a ride home.
Results in plain words
What was found, what it means for your glasses, and anything that should be followed up elsewhere.
Your prescription
A copy to keep. It's yours to take to any shop, including ours.
Bringing a prescription
A prescription from any clinic works here.
If your prescription is recent, generally from the last two years, and shows your name and the date it was written, we can make lenses from it. Bring the paper copy or a clear photo of it.
We take our own fitting measurements, like the distance between your pupils and the fitting height for progressives, on the frame you choose. There's no charge for that.
