Accessibility statement

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, including the brass accent colour, which is darkened wherever it is used for text.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative shapes and the agents' monograms are hidden from screen readers, and each agent's name is written as text.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page. Long pages have an “On this page” list of links.
• The table of Alberta purchase terms is a real table with row headings, so screen readers read each term with its explanation.
• Sample listings are labelled “Sample listing” in text, not only with a colour or picture.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, choices are grouped with a heading, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The one entrance movement stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
