Accessibility statement

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, including text on the coral and charcoal panels.
• Buttons, links and form fields are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• The sample run of show, the fee table and the list of services we don't provide use real table markup with column headings. On small screens the run of show scrolls sideways inside its own box, which you can also reach with the keyboard.
• The status of each line in the sample run of show is written in words, never shown by colour alone.
• The questions on the Social page open and close with the keyboard, using standard disclosure controls.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• Motion is limited to a blinking status dot and a short slide as one section comes into view. Both stop when your device asks for reduced motion.

Reaching us without the form

You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0135, or email hello@haldenevents.example, and we will take your request with you.
