The firm
Most of our clients own a company with fewer than fifty people. Many also bought their home and made their wills with us. That overlap is the point.
Brennan Okafor LLP was formed in 2014 when two Winnipeg lawyers, one in corporate work and one in real estate and estates, kept sending each other the same clients.
Partners
Each partner reviews every file in their area before it goes out, whoever drafted it.
Partner · Business law
Siobhan has practised business law in Winnipeg since 2004, the first part of it in-house at a regional distributor. She leads the incorporation, shareholder agreement and business sale work, and reads commercial leases for fun, or so the clerks say.
Works in English and French.
Partner · Real estate, wills & estates
Tunde has handled residential closings and estates in Manitoba since 2007. He set up the firm’s closing checklist and the plain-English summary that goes out with every will, and still does most of the executor meetings himself.
Works in English and Yoruba.
The team
Four associates and three law clerks work alongside the partners. Clerks run the day-to-day of closings, minute books and estates, which is a large part of why our flat fees can stay flat.
Responsible for the advice and every document that goes out. Their name is in your engagement letter.
Your day-to-day contact for documents, dates and amounts. Direct line, replies the same working day.

How we work
No work starts before you have a fee or estimate in writing and have said yes.
Every finished matter comes with a short note of what you signed and what to watch for.
We check every new matter against our files before we hear the details.
Litigation and family law go to firms that do them well. We say so on day one.
