Show what's on your shelves, and let people ask before they drive over.

Meet Thimble & Pine, a home and gift shop in Larkhaven. Both are made up. Here's the website we'd start from, and what a shop owner could add next. We don't run checkouts: the Shop online button goes to the store you already use.

The free website

Our generator doesn't have a shop template yet, so our team wrote this demo's words. It shows what a shop's site could look like, built from a made-up listing. Switch to "With upgrades" to see the same site after the owner asked the editor for a few things.

What the generator did

  • Laid out the page from the listing: name, category, hours, phone and street. Our team wrote the words, because we don't have a shop template yet.
  • Used the short list of services we typed into this made-up listing. A real preview starts with a standard list for its kind of business, which the owner can correct.
  • Added the opening hours from the listing.
  • Added a tap-to-call booking band.
  • Wrote answers to the questions customers usually ask.
  • Added quick facts under the headline, like where the business is.
  • Used stock photos as placeholders until the owner adds real ones.

Left out on purpose

  • Prices: we never publish prices a business hasn't confirmed.
  • Google reviews and a map: real previews show the business's own Google reviews live, with credit, and a map. This business isn't real, so it has neither.
  • A photo gallery: it appears only once the owner adds photos of their own work.
  • SiteDropped ads: real previews carry SiteDropped ads and a notice until the business claims them. They're hidden on this demo.

Our recommendations for a shop

The upgrades we'd recommend first: why each could bring in more customers or save you time, and, for the ones that work today, how our AI editor builds them when you ask.

Show what's new on the shelves

    Why it helps
People like to know what's in before they make the trip.
    How it works today
Send photos and a price list, or a spreadsheet; the editor builds a section of product cards, or a page of its own in your menu. Bigger custom sections use part of your monthly allowance.
Ask the editor:Make a 'New this week' section from these photos, with prices.
  2. Available now

    Take hold-for-pickup requests

    Why it helps
A quick 'Can you hold it?' turns a browser into a buyer.
    How it works today
A request form. Customers name the item in their message; it lands in your inbox with an email alert, and you reply.
Ask the editor:Add a form so people can ask us to hold something.
  3. Available now

    Add a Shop online button

    Why it helps
If you already sell online, send people straight to your store.
    How it works today
A button that opens the store you already run, such as Shopify, Square or Etsy.
Ask the editor:Add a Shop online button that goes to [your store link].
  4. Available now

    Run a seasonal banner

    Why it helps
A sale or a new season is a reason to visit.
    How it works today
A banner section you change or remove by asking. Offers that switch themselves off on a date are on our roadmap.
Ask the editor:Add a banner for our winter sale this weekend.

    Customer accounts and wishlists

    Why it helps
    Regulars could save favourites.

More business

Don't know? Your Google Business Profile's Performance section shows "Website clicks" for each month. Use that. With no website yet, start low.

Less time on the phone

$300 in extra sales a month, before costs: about 6 extra sales, and about 38 minutes a month less on the phone (you still reply to each request).

Showing the example values. Change any field to use yours.

For comparison: Premium, with our AI editor, is $20 a month (Basic, without it, is $10). At your numbers, $20 is less than the sales from one sale, before your costs.

How it adds up: 800 visits × 3% ask you to hold something × 70% collected × 40% new = about 6 extra sales, × $45 each.

Illustration, not a forecast. Every number in this box is an example you can change. None of it is measured from a real business, and a website doesn't guarantee bookings or sales. What really happens depends on how many people find you, your prices and how quickly you reply.
