About Voltwright
Four electricians, one kind of house
We stick to residential work in older Hamilton homes. Plaster walls, odd panels, additions on additions: that's the job we know, and the one we're good at.
The crew
Who comes to your house
A small team means the person who quotes your job is on site when it's done.
The estimator
Does every site visit and writes every quote, so the numbers come from someone who has opened the panel.
Two journeymen
Run the panel changeovers and charger installs, and meet the inspector on your job.
The fishing crew
One electrician and an apprentice who pull cable through old walls with as few openings as possible.
Scheduling
Answers the phone, books permits and utility visits, and sends your paperwork when the job closes.
How we work
Plain rules we keep
- Written before we startEvery job has a line-by-line quote. If something changes once the walls are open, you get a written change before we do it.
- Permit where it's neededWe pull the permit and book the inspection. You never have to deal with either.
- Tidy at the end of each dayDrop sheets down, dust cleaned up, power back on in the rooms you live in.
- Straight answersIf the panel you have is fine, we'll say so.
What we send elsewhere. We don't do solar or commercial work. If that's what you need, we'll point you to someone who does it every day.
