Visit

Before you come

How an afternoon here works, from the front gate to the courtyard, what to bring, and what to do if your plans change.

Arriving

Your visit, in order

  1. Arrive fifteen minutes early

Come through the green gate on Mulberry Lane. We go through a short health form with you and show you to a changing room.

  2. Robe and slippers

Your robe, slippers, towels and a locker with a key are waiting. Showers and hairdryers are next door.

  3. Your treatment

Your therapist meets you in the lounge and walks you to your room. Speak up about pressure, warmth or music at any point.

  4. The courtyard

Afterwards, stay in your robe with tea and a lounger for as long as you like, under the porch roof if it rains.

What to bring

  • Swimwear, if you are booked into the couples suite tub
  • Glasses or a contact lens case, if you wear them
  • A note of any medications or allergies
  • Underwear is fine for treatments; you are covered by a sheet throughout

What we have for you

  • Robes, slippers and warm towels
  • Showers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash
  • Hairdryers and a mirror with good light
  • Tea, water and fruit in the lounge and courtyard

Getting around the house

An old house, with an old staircase

The house was built in the 1830s and it shows in places: floors that creak, a narrow staircase, a few doorways lower than new ones. Here is what is on each floor.

If stairs are hard for you, tell us when you book and we will put your treatment on the ground floor.

Upstairs One flight

Three treatment rooms and the facial room. One flight of stairs with a handrail on both sides. There is no lift.

Ground floor Step-free

The couples suite, one treatment room, the lounge, changing rooms and a washroom with grab bars. A ramp at the side gate gives step-free entry to this floor and the courtyard.

If plans change
