Treatments

Every treatment is in a private room, with the window open to the garden if you like. Prices are in Canadian dollars plus HST, and include tea and courtyard time afterwards.

Massage, facials, scrubs and wraps, and a few small extras

Massage

  • Relaxation massage

    Long, slow strokes with warm grapeseed oil and light to medium pressure. The one to book if you simply want to switch off.

  • Deep tissue massage

    Firmer, slower work on the back, neck, shoulders and legs for everyday tightness. Tell your therapist where to focus and when firm becomes too firm.

  • Hot stone massage

    Smooth basalt stones warmed in water, used in the hands and rested along the back. Deeply warming, and very good on a cold day.

  • Pregnancy massage

    From the second trimester, lying on your side with plenty of pillows, gentle pressure and unscented oil.

  • Back, neck and shoulders

    Half an hour on the places most of us carry the week. Easy to add before a facial.

Facials

  • Garden facial

    Our everyday facial: cleanse, a gentle enzyme exfoliation, warm steam, a mask chosen for your skin and a long face, neck and shoulder massage.

  • Hydrating facial

    For dry or wind-chapped skin, with a soft cream mask and a hand and arm massage while it sets.

    • 75 minutes$170

  • Deep-cleansing facial

    For congested or oily skin. Extractions are done carefully and only where needed, then a cooling clay mask.

  • Express facial

    Cleanse, exfoliate, mask and moisturise in half an hour. Pairs well with a massage.

Body scrubs and wraps

  • Grapeseed and sea salt scrub

    Fine sea salt in grapeseed oil, worked over the whole body, then a warm shower and a light lotion.

  • Brown sugar and ginger scrub

    Gentler than salt and warming. A good choice for sensitive skin, and for February.

  • Clay body wrap

    Mineral clay brushed on, then warm blankets and a scalp massage while it works. Rinse, and finish with body lotion.

  • Scrub and wrap

    The sea salt scrub, then the clay wrap, with a scalp massage in between.

Insurance receipts

We are a day spa, not a clinic, so we don't issue receipts for insurance claims. For a massage you can claim, please book with a massage therapy clinic.

Injuries and pain

If you have an injury or pain that needs treatment, a physiotherapy or massage therapy clinic is the right place to start. Ask us and we will point you to one nearby.

We don't offer hair, nails or injectables. Everything here happens on a massage table, in a robe, with the door closed.
