What we do

Most of our day is drains. The rest is the plumbing around them.

Drain clearing

Sinks, tubs, toilets, floor drains and the main sewer line, cleared with the right size cable for the pipe.

How a clearing visit goes

Camera inspection

We run a camera through the line, show you the screen as we go, and send you the recording.

What the camera shows

Hydro-jetting

High-pressure water that scours grease, scale and roots off the pipe wall, not just a hole through them.

When jetting is worth it

Sewer repair and replacement

Spot repairs and full line replacements. Digging is done by our partner excavator, and we tell you that up front.

Diagnosis first

A drain that keeps blocking has a reason.

Snaking a line clears it today. If roots are growing in at a joint, or a section has sagged, it will block again. So when a main line backs up twice, we look before we quote anything bigger.

  • We ask what happened and when, and which fixtures backed up first.
  • We clear the line so your house works again.
  • If it's a repeat, we run the camera and show you the cause on screen.
  • You get the options with prices, cheapest first. Often that's nothing more.
Cross-section of a blocked drain pipe Water flows in from the left and pools behind a plug of grease and wipes. Roots have come in through a loose joint just past the plug. Past the blockage only a trickle gets through. Flow Grease and wipes Roots at a joint Water backs up here Only a tricklegets past
Two causes, one backup. Clearing removes the plug; only a camera shows the roots behind it.

Sewer camera

See inside the pipe under your lawn.

A waterproof camera on a push cable travels down the line while you watch the screen with us. A locator marks the spot and depth of anything worth fixing, so a repair is one small dig instead of a trench.

  • The recording is yours, sent as a download link the same day.
  • A short written note: what we saw, and how many metres from the cleanout.
  • Worth doing before you buy an older house.
How the sewer camera works A camera on a push cable goes down the cleanout and along the sewer pipe under the lawn. Its light shows a crack ahead. Above ground, a locator picks up the camera's signal and marks where it is and how deep, here 1.6 metres. Cleanout Locator mark 1.6 m deep Camera on a push cable Crack ahead Lawn

Where we work

Both sides of the harbour, from one shop in Dartmouth.

Dartmouth, Halifax, Bedford, Clayton Park, Cole Harbour and Eastern Passage have no travel fee. Sackville, Fall River, Spryfield and Timberlea add $45. Each van carries cables, a jetter hose reel, a camera and the common parts, so most jobs finish on the first visit.

A visit, start to finish

No surprises between the phone call and the invoice.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us what's happening. We give you a time window and the flat price for the likely job.

  2. We text before we arrive

About 30 minutes ahead, with the van number. Shoe covers on, drop sheets down.

  3. We find the cause

We confirm the price before we start. If the job turns out bigger, you decide, not us.

  4. We fix it and tidy up

We test the drain with you, clean the work area and explain what we found.
