By Victoria Park, Kitchener

Good food for everyone in the neighbourhood.

A food bank where you pick your own groceries, a kitchen that serves supper every Thursday, and a garden out back. Come for food, come to help, or both.

Want to donate food or money? Here is how to give.

A table heaped with fresh fruit and vegetables: peppers, squash, apples and greens
Who it's for

If you live near the park, this is your place.

You don't need to explain why you're here. Rent went up, a job ended, a cheque is late, or the month is simply longer than the money. All of it is a good enough reason.

People come to us from every part of the neighbourhood, and plenty of them also cook in our kitchen, rent a garden bed or stack shelves on a Saturday. The line between the people who help and the people who shop is thin here, and we like it that way.

  • Families, students, seniors and anyone on their own
  • Newcomers to Canada (volunteers speak Spanish, Arabic, Tigrinya and Punjabi)
  • Neighbours who'd rather cook, garden or lend a hand
