Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, and the body text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for low-vision readers.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers.
• Opening hours are in real tables with row and column headings, not in pictures.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The small hover movements on buttons stop when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations
