Busy adults
A job, kids, a commute, or all three. We train where you already are: the living room before work, the park at lunch, a video call after bedtime. Sessions start on time and end on time.
Personal training · London, Ontario
I'm Dev. I coach busy adults and people coming back after a long break: in your living room, in Victoria or Springbank Park, over video, and in a small group on Saturday mornings. Session packs, never a contract.
Who it's for
A job, kids, a commute, or all three. We train where you already are: the living room before work, the park at lunch, a video call after bedtime. Sessions start on time and end on time.
It's been years, or you never really trained. We start well below what you think you can do and build from there, with exercises you can repeat on your own between sessions.
You'd rather know what to do on Tuesday than guess. Everyone gets a short written plan for the days we don't meet, adjusted as things change.
Four ways to train
Packs work for home and park sessions alike, so a rainy week can move indoors without any rebooking fuss.
I arrive with a bag of kit: adjustable dumbbells, a kettlebell, bands, a step and a mat. We need floor space about the size of two yoga mats. Neighbours downstairs? We leave out the jumping.
Good for: parents with little ones at home, early starts, anyone who'd rather not be seen sweating.
Downtown at Victoria Park, or along the river at Springbank. We use benches, the hills, open grass and whatever I carry. Fresh air does half the work on a slow morning.
Good for: people who sit indoors all day and would rather train under a sky.
A 45-minute live session over video, with a plan for the days in between and a weekly check-in by message. Prop your phone or laptop where I can see you; I'll watch every rep.
Good for: shift workers, frequent travellers, anyone outside London.
Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. in Springbank Park, never more than six people. Circuits in pairs, every exercise scaled to the person doing it. Good company and a reason to be up early.
Good for: a lower-cost start, or a second session a week on top of one-on-one.
How we start
We talk about your week, what you'd like to change and anything I should know about your health. No sales pitch at the end. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so.
An hour at your place, in the park or online. How you move, a few simple strength checks we can repeat later, and what feels good and what doesn't.
Within two days you get it in writing: how often we meet, what you do on your own, and what we'll look at again in four weeks.

What a session looks like
Every session follows the same shape, so you always know what's coming. What changes is the weight, the exercises and how hard we push, based on how you slept and how the week has gone.
Joints, breathing, and a few easy sets of the day's main moves.
A squat or step-up, a push, a pull and a carry, with weights chosen for today, not last week.
Short intervals: hill walks in the park, kettlebell swings, or the stairs at home.
A stretch, and I write down what we did and what to do before next time.
About Dev
Showing up next week matters more than one hard session.
I coach the way I'd want to be coached: clear instructions, honest feedback, and a plan you can follow when I'm not there. Most people who call me are coming back after something: a new job, a baby, a move, a long stretch of sitting. My job is to make the first month feel doable, then build.
I adapt exercises around stiff backs, old knees and bad nights of sleep, but I don't diagnose or treat injuries. If you're seeing a physiotherapist, I'll ask what they want you to avoid and build the plan around it.
I don't do meal plans. If food is the main thing you want help with, I'll point you to a registered dietitian.
FAQ
If you have a health condition or an injury, or you're pregnant, please check with your doctor before you start training, and bring any limits they give you. I adapt exercises, but I don't treat injuries.
For home and park sessions, no: I bring everything. For online sessions, you'll need a mat or towel and something to lift, like a pair of dumbbells, a band, or a backpack with a few books in it. After the first session I'll tell you if anything is worth buying.
Park sessions run in light rain and cold, so dress in layers. In thunderstorms, freezing rain or deep cold, we switch to video or move the session, your choice, at no cost. For the Saturday group I decide by 7 a.m. and text everyone.
Cancel or move a session at least 24 hours ahead and nothing is charged. Inside 24 hours the session counts, unless you're ill or something urgent comes up. Talk to me; I'm reasonable.
Very often, yes, but check with your doctor first and tell me what they said. I adjust exercises around what you can and can't do. I don't diagnose or treat injuries, and if you see a physiotherapist I'm happy to work alongside them.
No. I'll talk about sleep, water and eating enough before a session, but meal plans and calorie targets belong with a registered dietitian.
Yes. Partner sessions are $130 for both of you, at home or in the park. It works best when you're at a similar starting point.
