Accessibility statement

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible orange focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, on both the dark navy and the light sections.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• The thermostat dial on the home page is a drawing with a text description of what it shows.
• Furnace prices are in a real table with row and column headers. On a small screen the table scrolls sideways in its own box, not the whole page.
• The air conditioning price bars are decoration only; every price is also written out in words.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• Hover transitions stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
