Planned for the vines, and for the rain.

Marigold & Pine is two planners who plan weddings at Okanagan wineries, orchards and lake houses. We build an honest budget first, find and manage your vendors, and give every outdoor day a backup that is already booked.

Who we are

Two planners, one wedding a weekend

Most Okanagan weddings happen outside, on land that was never built for a hundred guests: a winery lawn on a slope, an orchard with no power, a lake house with one driveway. Planning one well is mostly logistics, done early.

We start with the budget, because a vineyard site fee rarely includes the chairs, the tent or the shuttle home. Then we shortlist vendors who fit that number, read their contracts, and run them on the day so you never have to.

We take one wedding a weekend and both of us are there. We are planners only: not a venue, caterer, florist or photographer. We find those people for you, and you pay them directly.

Every couple gets the same planning binder, shared online: budget sheet, vendor contacts, payment dates and the run sheet. The florist works from it too.

How planning works, in short

Four steps, in this order

  1. A first callThirty minutes, free. Your guest count, your season, the kind of place you picture, and the number you are comfortable spending.
  2. The budget sheetBuilt with you before any site visit, line by line, with Okanagan costs couples tend to miss: tents, power, shuttles, permits.
  3. Vendors, shortlistedThree options per category that fit the date and the number. You choose; we read the contracts and hold the schedule.
  4. The day, run by usThe weather call 72 hours out, then both planners on site from the first delivery to the last shuttle.

VineyardA ceremony gazebo at the top of the rows, the aisle walked up the centre row.
Long dinner tables under old trees strung with warm lights at night
OrchardDinner for 120 under the trees, lit tree to tree, the generator out of earshot.
A tented reception with round tables and wooden chairs, its clear walls open to water and hills
LakesideA clear-walled tent on a lake-house lawn, with round tables so every seat sees the water.
