Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach us.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What this website does

  • A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
  • Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a thick, visible focus outline.
  • Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, including the hours board, where the times are cream on dark green.
  • Buttons, menu items, form fields and the questions in the FAQ are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
  • The opening hours are written as text, a day and its times, not as a picture of a board.
  • The questions open and close with the keyboard (Enter or Space) and with a tap.
  • Every photograph that carries meaning has a text description; the ridge-line drawings and the sketch map are decoration and are hidden from screen readers, with the address and directions written out in words beside the map.
  • A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
  • Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
  • The page has no scrolling animation, and any movement stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

Reaching us without the form

You never have to use the online form. Call (555) 555-0120 and leave a message if it rings out, or email hello@larchline.example, and the chiropractor will take your request by phone.

Known limitations

The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell us.
