Who comes in

Canmore keeps odd hours, so the appointment book does too. Four kinds of people fill most of the half-hour slots.

Shift workers

Lift crews, line cooks, hotel and hospital staff, plow drivers. The 6:30 am slot is there so you can be on shift by eight, and the 3:00 pm slots catch the other end of the day.

6:30 am and 3:00 pm

Hikers and skiers

Weekend regulars on the local trails and winter regulars at the lifts. Saturday starts at 8:00 am so the rest of the day is still yours for the hill or the crag.

Saturday mornings

Desk workers

Remote workers, tech staff and town office folk who sit at a laptop most of the day and would rather come in before the first meeting or after the last one.

Before nine, after four

Seniors

A level entrance, a chair that is easy to get out of, and a full half hour so nothing is hurried. Ask for the quietest slot of the day and you will get it.

Mid-morning blocks

Thirty minutes

One person in the room at a time, booked in 30-minute slots, so the clock is never running against you.

Talk about 5 min
You say what brought you in. The first visit has a little more talking in it; follow-ups pick up where you left off.
Hands on about 15 min
Hands-on adjustments and soft-tissue work. Gentle or firm is your call, and you can say stop at any moment.
Take home about 5 min
Two or three simple stretches, shown once and written on a card for the fridge.
Next about 5 min

Good questions

What should I wear?

Whatever you can move in: stretchy trousers or shorts and a top you can reach overhead in. There is a hook for your jacket and a tray for boots.

How long does a visit take?

Thirty minutes in the room, for first visits and follow-ups alike. The first one simply has more talking in it. Come about five minutes early the first time.

Do I get receipts?

Yes, an itemized receipt after every visit. You send it to your own extended health plan.

Larchline does not bill plans directly, and cannot say what yours will cover. Your plan can.

What if I need to cancel?

Call or leave a message at least 12 hours ahead and there is no charge. Inside 12 hours the visit fee may still apply, though illness and emergencies are understood.

What does Larchline refer out?

X-rays, massage and orthotics. There is no imaging equipment, massage table or orthotics lab in the room.

For those you will be pointed to your family doctor or another clinic in town. If a question is beyond what a chiropractor does, you will hear that plainly.

Request a visit

Leave a number and a good time to call. The chiropractor returns messages between visits.

This form only sends your request. Nothing is booked until you hear back with a time.
