Couples

For two people who still want to talk.

You don't need to be at a breaking point to come in. Many couples book after one too many evenings of the same argument, or when a new baby has turned them into polite roommates.

Why couples come

The usual reasons, said plainly.

Most couples recognise themselves in more than one of these.

  • Talking turns into fighting

A question about dishes becomes a fight about everything. We slow the conversation down so each of you can finish a sentence.

  • The same argument on repeat

Different topic, same ending. We look at the pattern underneath, the part neither of you chose.

  • Trust after a hard stretch

An affair, a hidden debt, a long silence. Rebuilding is slow work, and it goes better with a structure.

  • New parents

Sleep is gone and so is time together. We help you sort out the load and find each other again.

  • Drifting apart

Nothing is wrong, exactly, and nothing feels close either. That is worth an evening of attention.

  • A big decision

Moving, children, caring for a parent, or whether to stay together. We help you think it through together.

How sessions run

What the weeks usually look like.

Every couple is different, so this is a rough map, not a program. You can stop or pause at any point.

  1. Free 15-minute call

One or both of you talk with us by phone or video, to see if we are a good fit.

  2. First session together

We hear from both of you about what brings you in and what you would like to change.

  3. One short individual session each

Early on, we often meet each partner once on their own, so each person can say what is harder to say in the room.

  4. Regular sessions together

Usually every week or two. We practise new ways of talking about the hard things, with something to try at home if you want it.

  5. Spacing out and finishing

When things feel steadier, sessions move further apart, and we end on a plan you both agree on.

Session length

50 minutes or 80, your choice.

Some couples need time to warm up before the real conversation starts. The longer session gives it room.

Pre-marriage

Before the wedding, a few honest evenings.

Usually three to five sessions of 50 minutes, booked a few months before the date. It isn't a test you pass or fail. It is a chance to talk through the things that rarely come up while planning a party.

  • Money and debt
  • How each of you argues
  • Families of origin
  • Children, or not
  • Faith and traditions
  • Who does what at home
  • Sex and closeness
  • Where you want to live
