Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible lime focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast. Lime is only used on dark backgrounds or behind dark text.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
• The scope sheet, the cleaning schedule and the price list are real tables with row and column headers. On a small screen they scroll sideways inside their own box instead of shrinking.
• Marks in the cleaning schedule are read out as “Yes”, not shown by colour alone.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The one entrance movement on the home page stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
