Towing
Flatbed, wheel-lift or medium duty
We match the truck to your vehicle, not the other way round. Tell dispatch what you drive and where it is, and we send the right one.
Which truck
Flatbed or wheel-lift?
Both are safe for the right vehicle. Dispatch decides with you, and the price is the same either way.
Flatbed
The whole vehicle rides on the deck, all four wheels off the road.
- All-wheel and four-wheel drive
- Low cars, sports cars and EVs
- Motorcycles, strapped upright in a wheel chock
- Accident damage where a wheel won't turn
- Long-distance tows
Wheel-lift
Lifts one axle and the car rolls on the other. Quicker in tight spots.
- Front or rear-wheel drive cars
- Underground and tight parking lots
- Driveways with no room for a deck
- Short tows across town
- Dollies for a locked or damaged wheel ($40)
The fleet
Four trucks, and what each one carries
- H1FlatbedCars, SUVs, motorcycles. Up to 4,500 kg on the deck.
- H2FlatbedSame deck, also carries go-jacks and a second winch.
- H3Wheel-liftShort wheelbase for parkades, lanes and driveways.
- H4Medium dutyCube vans, small box trucks, loaded pickups with trailers.
We don't tow heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, buses or motorhomes over medium duty. Call anyway and we will give you the number of a heavy-duty outfit that does.
Special cases
Motorcycles, accidents and long hauls
- Motorcycles
- Always on a flatbed, front wheel in a chock and soft straps on the frame, never the bars. $135 hook-up including the first 10 km.
- Accident tows
- We clear the car from the scene, sweep the glass, and take it to our yard, your body shop or your home. If police are on scene we work to their direction. Hook-up is $150 because of the clean-up.
- Long distance
- Sudbury to North Bay, Parry Sound, Toronto or anywhere in Ontario, priced by the kilometre. You get a total before we leave, and you can ride along in the cab.
- Yard storage
- First 24 hours free, then $50 a day. Pick up Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 18:00.
While you wait
What to do until the truck arrives
- Get off the road if you can
Hazard lights on. If the shoulder is narrow, stand well back behind the guardrail, never between your car and traffic.
- Stay warm, stay visible
In winter, keep the exhaust clear of snow before you run the engine for heat. Keep a window open a crack.
- Have your keys and ownership ready
The driver needs the keys, and we'll ask where the car is going before we load it.
- Take what you need out
Phone, wallet, child seats, medication, garage opener. Things left in the car go to the yard with it.
- Call us if anything changes
If you move, get a ride, or police tell you to go, call dispatch so the driver knows.
- Check the price with the driver
They will show you the rate sheet and the total before towing. You get a written invoice at the end.
