Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach us, especially when they are stuck at the roadside.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- The dispatch phone number is a tap-to-call link in the header of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible amber focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast. Amber is only used behind dark text or as text on the near-black background.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Price tables are real tables, with column and row headers a screen reader can announce.
- Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones, like the striped divider and highway shields, are hidden from screen readers.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- The site has no moving animation, and transitions are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
Reaching us without the form
You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0190, or email dispatch@highlinetowing.example, and we will take your request with you.
Known limitations
The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell us.
