Your first visit
Your first visit, step by step
Plan on about 50 minutes. Nothing happens without your say-so, and you're welcome to bring someone with you.
-
Arrive 5 min
Come in by the side door with the ramp. Priya at the front desk will welcome you and give you a short paper form about your health, which you fill in privately in the waiting room. Coming ten minutes early gives you time.
-
Talk it through 15 min
In a private room, your chiropractor asks what brings you in, how it affects your days and what you've already tried. This part happens in person, never online, and you can ask anything.
-
Assessment 15 min
We watch how you stand, bend and turn, check joints and muscles by hand, and test reflexes and strength. You stay dressed, and we say what each check is before we do it.
-
The plan, explained 10 min
What we found, in plain words. What we suggest, roughly how many visits that might take and what it would cost, and your other options, including seeing your doctor or waiting.
What to wear and bring
Wear
- Clothes you can bend in: track pants, leggings or shorts
- A T-shirt or a loose top
- Socks if you like; shoes come off for the table
Bring
- Your reading glasses, for the paper form
- The names of any medicines you take
- Notes from your doctor you'd like us to see
- Someone with you, if that helps
After the first visit
Most people leave with two or three stretches to try at home and, if it makes sense, a suggested follow-up of about 20 minutes. Follow-ups are $60, or $55 if you're 65 or over.
