Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach us.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible red focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page, and an index of sections at the top of each page.
- Fee, filing and deduction tables are real tables with header cells, so screen readers read each value with its heading.
- Key dates and the remittance calendar are ordered lists, so they are read in order.
- Fee questions open and close with standard disclosure controls that work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- Pages reflow to one column on a phone without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged to 200%.
- Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
