Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast; our coloured headings are only used at large sizes.
• Buttons, links and form controls are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful photo has a text description. The pencil drawings are decorative and hidden from screen readers.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• The fee table has proper row and column headers, and the morning schedule is a list read in order.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• Pages work when text is enlarged to 200% and on narrow phone screens without sideways scrolling.
• Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
