Brandon, Manitoba · one truck, one driver
Stuck in Brandon? Call Doug.
I'm Doug. I run one wheel-lift tow truck in Brandon and about 30 km around it. Dead battery, keys locked in, a flat tire, a snowbank that won't let go: I tell you the price on the phone, and that's the price.
(555) 555-0192Open 6 am to 11 pm, every day. If I'm on another job, leave a message with where you are and I'll call back as soon as it's safe to.
What I do
Six jobs, done properly. And three I'll turn down.
One driver, one truck. I'd rather tell you straight on the phone that I can't do something than leave you waiting on the shoulder.
Boosts
Dead battery? I bring a booster pack and get you going. If the battery is finished, I'll say so, and I can tow you to the shop you pick.
Lockouts
Cars only. I need proof it's yours before I open it: a registration or insurance slip that matches your photo ID.
Tire changes
I put your own spare on and check the lug nuts. I don't carry tires or patch them. If the spare is flat too, I'll tow you.
Fuel delivery
Out of gas on the Trans-Canada or the back roads? I bring up to 10 litres of gas or diesel, and you pay the fuel at pump price.
In-town tows
Anywhere inside Brandon, to the shop of your choice. Your garage, your dealer, your cousin's driveway. You pick.
Winter winch-outs
In a snowbank or a shallow ditch, I winch you back onto the road. If it's deeper than my cable can safely pull, I'll tell you before I hook up.
The price board
The price is on the board before I leave the yard.

How a call goes
Three questions, then I'm on my way.
No dispatcher, no hold music, no form to fill in while you're standing in the cold.
Doug asks
Where are you?
The street and the nearest cross street, a landmark, or a highway number and the closest road. If your phone can drop a map pin by text, send me that.
Doug asks
What's wrong?
Won't start, just clicks, flat tire, keys inside, stuck in the snow. Tell me the make and year. I'll say which job it is and read you the price off the board.
You ask
When will you get here?
I give you a range, like 25 to 40 minutes, based on where the truck is right now. If it's going to slip, I call you. You don't have to chase me.
Area and hours
