Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach the farm.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a strong two-colour focus outline that shows on every background.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast. Small text sits on off-white or dark boxes; the coloured bands carry only large headings.
- Buttons, menu items and form fields are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Every meaningful photograph has a text description; decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks.
- Prices are written out in words and numbers, and each price sits beside the name of what it buys.
- The month-by-month list of flowers can be scrolled sideways with the keyboard on a narrow screen, and it is the same content you see on a wide one.
- Questions open and close with the keyboard, and the answers are plain text.
- Every form field has a visible label, optional fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
Reaching us without the form
You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0105, or email hello@couleerow.example, and we will take your request with you.
Known limitations
The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. The farm stand is self-serve and outdoors on gravel, so ask us ahead if you need help getting to it. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell us.
