Your first visit

Coming to us for the first time is simple. Here is what to expect, what you'll take home, and a short form to ask for a time.

What the first visit is like

Arrive about ten minutes early. At the front desk we take your name and contact details and ask about your eyes and health in person, never through the website.

A few quick photos and measurements come first. Then your optometrist does the exam, explains what they found in plain words, and answers questions. If you need glasses, you can walk straight into the frame gallery, or take your prescription anywhere you like.

Bringing a child? Stay with them the whole time. Young children get a picture chart and a short, game-like exam.

An itemized receipt, every time

We don't bill insurers for you. Instead, every visit and every order ends with a receipt that lists each item on its own line: the exam, the fitting, the frame, the lenses.

That is what most provincial plans and workplace benefits ask for when you claim. Keep it, photograph it, or send it in with your claim online.
