Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach us.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones, like the dotted path lines, are hidden from screen readers.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
- The lesson path and the licence steps are real ordered lists, so they are read out in order.
- Spanish and Arabic words are marked with their language, and Arabic is set right to left, so screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- Questions on the FAQ page open and close with the keyboard (Enter or Space).
- Prices are written as text, never as pictures.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- The small entrance movement on scroll stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
Reaching us without the form
You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0134, or email hello@steadyhand.example, and we will take your request with you.
Known limitations
The website is written in English only, although lessons are also taught in Spanish and Arabic. If you would like anything on it explained in Spanish or Arabic, call or text and we will arrange it. If you find anything hard to use, please tell us.
