Day spa on the Charlottetown waterfront
Relaxation massage, hot stone, facials and PEI sea salt scrubs in an old brick warehouse two streets from the water. Your phone stays in a locker. The tea is always on.
Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm. Thursdays until 9 pm.
The spa
Saltmarsh fills the ground floor and loft of an 1880s brick warehouse on Saltworks Lane, a two-minute walk from the boardwalk. There are four treatment rooms, one of them wide enough for two tables, a cedar sauna that seats two, a cold plunge and a long tea room with windows onto the lane.
Most people stay two or three hours. Come in out of the wind, sit with a pot of tea, have your treatment, then take a few rounds of sauna and cold water before you head back out. Nobody hurries you from one room to the next.
There are four of us: Ingrid, Mae, Colette and Ruth. One of us will meet you at the door and stay with you through the afternoon.
Treatments
Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus HST, and start from the amount shown. Every treatment begins with a few minutes of talk about pressure, scent and anything you'd rather we left alone.
Half-day packages
Come alone or bring someone. For two, your treatments happen side by side in our double room. Every package includes the sauna and cold plunge, robes, and tea for as long as you stay.

That's time to check in, change, lock away your phone and settle with tea. If you're running late we'll do our best, though we may need to shorten your treatment so the next guest isn't kept waiting.
One page about allergies, recent injuries, pregnancy and anything you'd like us to avoid. It stays private and helps us choose oils, products and pressure.
For massage and scrubs you undress to your own comfort and stay covered by a sheet the whole time. A swimsuit is welcome in the sauna.
Robe, slippers, towels, a locker, showers with shampoo and body wash, hair dryers and loose-leaf tea all afternoon.
Good to know
No injectables, fillers, laser, microneedling or chemical peels. We're a place to rest, not a clinic, and we don't promise what a treatment will do for your skin.
Our massage is for relaxation and isn't a health service, so we can't give receipts for health or benefits plans. If you need one for a claim, please see a clinic that offers that.
Gift cards
Gift cards are sold at the front desk, or by phone: call us, we take payment over the phone and post the card or email a printable one the same day.
This website doesn't sell gift cards. You can leave a request with the form below and we'll call you to finish it.

Anything else, call or email us. We answer between treatments, so give us an hour.
Yes, on weekday afternoons when it's free: 60 minutes, private for one or two, from $70. On weekends the sauna is kept for guests having a treatment.
Please give us 24 hours' notice. Inside 24 hours we charge half the treatment price, unless it's an emergency or the weather has closed the roads.
Only if you want one. We keep unscented oil and lotion for every treatment, plus lavender and a cedar and kelp blend for anyone who'd like them.
The front door has a ramp, and the tea room, one treatment room and a washroom are on the ground floor. The sauna and plunge are up a short flight of stairs. Tell us what you need and we'll plan around it.
There's metered parking on Saltworks Lane and a public lot on Water Street, about three minutes' walk away.
Yes. Pick "Two of us" on the form. Massages for two happen side by side in our double room, and the sauna seats two.
