Accessibility statement

Our standard

This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a thick, visible focus outline.
• Text, buttons and form fields meet AA colour contrast. The tomato red is used only for small decoration, never for text.
• Buttons, links, the menu and form fields are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• The very large section words (Facials, Brows, Visit) are drawn as images of text, so each one sits inside a real heading that spells it out for screen readers.
• Every price sits beside the name of its service as plain text, and opening hours are in a table with day and time labelled.
• Every meaningful photo has a text description; decorative shapes and stickers are hidden from screen readers.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• Animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion, and no content is hidden until you scroll.

Visiting the studio

The studio is on the second floor above a shop. There are 14 steps up with a handrail and no elevator. If stairs are hard for you, please tell me before you ask for a time and we will talk through what could work.

Photo descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell me.
