Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach us.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast. The lime green is only ever a background behind black text, or a colour on black, never thin text on white.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- The price list is a real table with a caption, row headers and grouped rows, so screen readers read each job with its price.
- The emergency guidance is written as plain lists in words; it does not rely on colour or icons.
- The phone number is a tap-to-call link everywhere it appears, and the form is never the only way to reach us.
- The only motion is a short button press effect and smooth scrolling between sections; both stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
Reaching us without the form
You never have to use the online form. Call or text (555) 555-0107, or email hello@ruizelectric.example, and we will take your request with you.
Known limitations
