Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website and reach the counter.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.
What we have done on this website
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline in a high-contrast colour.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, including black on yellow and yellow on black.
- Buttons, links, menus and form fields are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Every meaningful photo has a text description; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- The menu is real text, not a picture. The dotted lines between an item and its price are decoration and are hidden from screen readers, which read the item and its price together.
- Opening hours are in a table with the day of the week as a row heading.
- A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
- The one entrance animation, the receipt sliding into place, stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
