House cleaning in Victoria, BC

One cleaner, done properly.

I clean houses, condos and small apartments in a handful of Victoria neighbourhoods. It is the same person every visit, with my own supplies and my own vacuum, and nobody else turning up at your door.

  • By the hour or by the visit
  • Plain, unscented products
  • Pet-friendly

What I clean

The whole home, and what I pass on.

Kitchens
Counters, sink, stovetop, the outside of the fridge, oven and dishwasher, and the floor. Inside the oven or fridge is an extra, just ask.
Bathrooms
Tub, shower, toilet, sink, mirror and floor, scrubbed with plain products that do not leave a perfume behind.
Bedrooms and living areas
Dusting, surfaces, vacuuming and mopping. I will make the beds, and change the sheets if you leave clean ones out.
Spring cleans and before guests
A slower, one-time clean: baseboards, door frames, switch plates, cupboard fronts. Also a good reset before a showing or an open house.

By the hour

$48an hour

Two-hour minimum, so $96. This is the way to go for a first clean, a spring clean, or help before guests arrive. A lived-in condo usually takes three to four hours the first time.

I will give you my best guess on time before I start, and text you if it looks like it will run over.

How a visit goes

You do not need to prepare much.

Supplies and vacuum
I bring everything: my own vacuum, microfibre cloths and plain unscented products. If there is a surface you want cleaned with your own product, leave it out for me.
Pets
Fine by me. Tell me whether the cat hides or the dog says hello, and I will close doors the way you like.
Keys and being home
Home or out is up to you. A lockbox code or a key handed over once both work. I keep keys in a plain envelope with no address on it.
Before and after
I text when I am on my way and when I am done. If you want something done differently next time, tell me and it will be.

Where I work

Fairfield James Bay Fernwood Rockland Cook Street Village Harris Green Victoria West Oak Bay

I work weekdays, 8:30 to 4:30, and I keep my days to a few neighbourhoods so I am not spending your hours in traffic. Not on the list? Ask. If your place fits a day I am already nearby, I will say yes. If it does not, I will tell you straight away.

Ask for a clean

Tell me a little about your place.

Fill in what you can. I read every request myself and answer by text or email, usually the same working day. Nothing is booked until we have agreed on a day.

Pets, an oven to do, how I get in: whatever helps. Sending this saves your request for me to read. It does not book a day or take a payment.
