Our standard

This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.

What this website does

• A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast.
• Buttons, links and form choices are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Prices are written as plain text, not pictures, so screen readers and translation tools can read them.
• Every meaningful image has a text description; decorative ones, like the lawn stripes, are hidden from screen readers.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, grouped choices have a written question, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The one animation, the stripes sliding in at the top of the home page, is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
