Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada’s accessibility laws.

What we have done on this website

• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a thick orange and black focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast. Orange is only used behind black text, or as large text on black.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every portfolio photo has a text description; decorative shapes and the large section numbers are hidden from screen readers.
• Prices are written as labelled lists, so a screen reader reads each item with its price.
• A clear heading structure and page landmarks on every page.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The one entrance animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell us.
