Accessibility statement

Our standard

This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard behind Canada's accessibility laws.

What has been done on this website

• A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, including cream on barn red and on black.
• Buttons, links and form fields are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
• Every meaningful photo has a text description; decorative graphics, like the ladder divider, are hidden from screen readers.
• One page title per page, a clear heading order, and landmarks for the header, main content and footer.
• The price list is a real table with a caption and labelled rows and columns, so a screen reader reads each price with its job.
• Every form field has a visible label, required fields say so in words, and the result of sending the form is announced.
• The one small entrance animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion.

Reaching me without the form

Known limitations

The photographs are illustrative, and their descriptions are brief rather than detailed. If you find anything on this website that is hard to use, please tell me.
