Furnace and AC service · Red Deer, AB
One tech. Straight answers.
I'm Dale. I fix furnaces, tune up furnaces and air conditioners, and swap thermostats, humidifier pads and filters. It's me and the van, so the person who quotes the job is the one who does it. My prices are posted below.
- Flat rates, posted
- Parts at cost plus 20%

The work
What I fix, and what I don't
- Furnace repairsNo heat, short cycling, a blower that won't start, an igniter that gives up. I carry the common parts in the van.
- Furnace tune-upsClean, test, measure and write it down. Best done in September, before the first cold snap.
- AC tune-upsCoil and drain check, refrigerant pressures read, and a note on anything that is close to failing.
- Small AC repairsCapacitors, contactors, fan motors, clogged drains. Quick jobs that get the house cool again.
- ThermostatsSwap an old one, or fit a smart one and show you how it works.
- Humidifiers and filtersNew pads, a cleaned unit, a filter size that fits. Alberta air is dry; it matters.
Flat rates
The price is on the ticket before I start
Every job starts with a posted flat rate. If I find more wrong than we talked about, I stop, show you, give you a price, and you decide. No clock running while you wait.
Labour is the flat rate. Parts are what I paid plus a stated 20%, and the invoice shows both numbers.

How a visit goes
Five steps, no surprises
You send a request or call
I read requests at lunch and at 5. I phone back the same working day.
I ask a few questions
Brand, age, what it does and doesn't do. Sometimes that is enough to fix it with one part.
I arrive in a two-hour window
I text when I'm on my way. Boots off, floor covered.
You hear the price first
I show you what's wrong, the flat rate and the part cost. You say yes or no.
I fix it and leave a report
The old part stays with you if you want to see it. The invoice lists every line.

After hours
I don't run a 24-hour line. If the heat quits at night, call me when I open and you're first on the list.
If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas utility's emergency line (it is on your bill) or 911. Do that before you call me.

What this form does
It sends me your request. It doesn't book a time on its own: I read it, phone you back the same working day, and we pick a window together. Rather talk? (555) 555-0170.
