Mobile dog grooming in Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview
The grooming salon that parks in your driveway
Pip's is one groomer and one van that carries its own water, power and dryer. We groom your dog inside the van at the end of your driveway and hand them back at your front door. One dog, start to finish.
Monday to Saturday. We usually book about two weeks out.
- One dog in the van, never two
- No cage dryers
- Our own water, power and heat
- Dogs up to about 45 kg
Why a van instead of a salon
A busy salon is a lot for a dog: barking from the next table, a crate while they wait for pick-up, dryers running all day. The van takes all of that away. It's a small, quiet room with one dog in it.
- One dog at a time
Your dog is the only one in the van, and the only one we're thinking about until they're back inside with you.
- No cage dryers
Dogs are towel-dried, then dried by hand with a dryer we hold ourselves, with breaks when they ask for one. Nobody gets shut in a box with hot air.
- No waiting room
No car ride, no lobby full of strange dogs, no crate while you're at work. Your dog leaves the house for the groom and nothing else.
How a visit goes
- We pull up
The van parks at the end of your driveway or at the curb out front. It needs about 8 metres of space and nothing from your house.
- Hello at the door
We meet your dog where they're comfortable, talk through the coat and the cut, and you tell us anything that's changed since last time.
- Into the van
On a lead and up a low step. Bigger and older dogs step onto the table at floor height and ride it up.
- The groom
Bath, dry, brush-out, cut, nails and ears. Watch from the window if you like, or carry on with your day.
- Hand-back
We bring them to your door, show you the cut and take payment. Then the van moves on and the driveway is yours again.

Tangled or shedding heavily? A matted coat or a thick double coat in full shed takes longer than usual. If the price will change, we tell you before we start, and you can say no. A coat matted to the skin is kinder clipped short than brushed out.
Over about 45 kg? The van's tub and table aren't built for giant breeds, so we don't groom them in the van. We're happy to point you to a salon in town with a floor-level tub.

What we need when we arrive
A flat spot about 8 metres long, on your driveway or at the curb out front. In winter, enough of it cleared to park. That's all: no outlet, no hose.
What's inside the van
The van is a small grooming salon on wheels. Everything runs off the van itself, so we never ask to plug into your house or borrow your hose.
- Water
- A 150-litre fresh tank warmed to bath temperature, and a separate tank for the used water. We fill and empty at our base, never in your yard.
- Power
- A battery bank charged by the van, with a quiet inverter. No cord across your lawn and no generator noise at the window.
- Tub
- A deep tub with a hand sprayer, a non-slip mat and a low step. Small dogs are lifted in; medium dogs walk in.
- Table
- An electric table that lowers to the floor, so large and older dogs step on and ride up instead of being hoisted.
- Dryer
- A hand-held dryer that we start on its lowest setting, plus warm towels. No cage dryer, ever.
- Heat and air
- Heated through the winter and air-conditioned in July, with windows we can open for fresh air.
Anxious, senior and reactive dogs
These are the dogs the van suits best. No other dogs, no noise from the next room, and the person grooming them has nobody else waiting.
- We start slowly
A sniff of the van with the door open, a treat if you're okay with it, and then in. Some dogs take two minutes, some take ten.
- Breaks are part of the groom
If your dog is shaking or trying to leave the table, we stop and let them settle. For a few dogs we split a full groom over two shorter visits.
- Old joints get the low table
Senior dogs stand or lie on a padded table at floor height, and we work around stiff hips instead of straightening them out.
- Reactive dogs are welcome
Tell us on the form. We'll book the first visit of the day, when the street is quiet, and we're used to working with a dog that wears a muzzle for handling.
We're groomers, not vets. If we notice a lump, a sore spot, red skin or an ear that smells off, we leave that area alone, tell you what we saw and suggest you show your vet.
Questions people ask
Something else on your mind? Text (555) 555-0144 and we'll answer between dogs.
Does the van need my power or water?
No. The van has its own water tanks, battery power and heat. We don't need an outlet, a hose or to come inside, apart from collecting your dog at the door.
What about winter?
We groom all year. The van is heated, and dogs go back inside warm and fully dry, never damp. On storm days or when the roads are bad, we call that morning and move you to the next open day. We just need enough of the driveway or curb cleared to park.
How long does it take?
A full groom takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on size and coat. A bath and tidy is about an hour, a quick tidy about 30 minutes and a nail trim about 15.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to be there to hand your dog over and take them back. In between, you can go about your day.
How far ahead should I book?
We usually book about two weeks out, Monday to Saturday. Regulars on a 4 to 8 week cycle can pick their next date at the door.
Do you groom cats or very large dogs?
No cats, sorry. Dogs up to about 45 kg fit the van. For giant breeds we'll recommend a salon with a floor-level tub.
How do I pay?
By card or e-transfer at the door, once the groom is done.
Ask for a groom
Tell us about your dog and which days suit you. This form saves your request for us. It doesn't book a time: we'll call or text within two working days to offer a date.
